Semana del 17 de octubre

Preschool and PreK:  We are practicing the parts of the face. We played games to hear the words repeated. With the parts of the face, we reviewed numbers, colors and "Tienes?" (Do you have?)
Vocabulary: ojos, orejas, boca, nariz, pelo, cara

Kindergarten:  This week we did some math in Spanish! We also reviewed the shapes and the colors.

First Grade: This week we reviewed the Unit vocabulary, added colors, numbers and actions.

Second Grade: This week we reviewed Unidad 3 and started Unidad 4. In this unit we will learn the parts of the body.

Please, visit the "How I use Episodios and stories in TPRS"  page for more information about the TPRS method.

Third Grade:  The words in Episodio 2: el martes, la aspiradora, llega, la criada, prende, la radio, se duerme, otra vez, Que ruido!  By the end of the week, students were able to use these words in sentences to retell a story.
We continued to practice telling the date, counting by 2s, 5s and 10s up to 50.

Fourth Grade:  The words for Episodio 4: el jueves, tiene mucho hambre, abre, cierra, el refrigerador, la puerta, el iman, se pega, Que ridiculo! By the end of the week, students were able to use these words in sentences to retell a story. Students are taking home a story to draw the pictures. Their drawings are due Tuesday, November 1.
We continued to practice telling the date, counting by 2s, 5s and 10s up to 100.

Fifth Grade:  (Students in Fifth Grade did not use these book last year, that is why they are at  the same level as Fourth grade. From last year, fifth graders have a large thematic vocabulary basis to enhance their own storytelling.) The words for Episodio 4: el jueves, tiene mucho hambre, abre, cierra, el refrigerador, la puerta, el iman, se pega, Que ridiculo! By the end of the week, students were able to use these words in sentences to retell a story. They could also create their own stories using the vocabulary in this and past episodes.  Students took turns reading their stories to the class.
We continued to practice telling the date, counting by 2s, 5s and 10s up to 1,000.
